たたら房は、たたら製鉄の技術でクラウドファンディングへ協力させていただきました。

・真柄太刀復元

朝倉椀チャレンジでは、戦国時代の木地師鉋を当時の鉄から復元する事になり、たたら房で作った玉鋼を月山派の川瀬貞真刀匠が鍛錬して木地師鉋を作成いたしました。

キタハガネは特殊な鉄鋼材を原料として、おろしがね技法で高炭素の鋼にまとめた鋼材です。

福井県の北鋼シャーリングと連携して製造・販売を行っています。

蛍光X線分析による成分検査では、北陸砂鉄製玉鋼と同等の成分が確認されております。

また、鉄を弱くするリン・硫黄に関しては北陸砂鉄製玉鋼よりも少なく、マンガンが含有していることから、錆びにくく靭性が高い鋼材になるものと考えられます。

キタハガネは量産が可能なため、一般の鍛冶屋さんへも販売させていただきます。

Kitahagane is a high-carbon steel made from special iron and steel materials using the oroshigane technique.

We manufacture and sell it in collaboration with Hokkou Shirring, a steel company in Fukui Prefecture.

Composition testing using fluorescent X-ray analysis has confirmed that it has the same composition as Hokuriku iron sand tamahagane.

In addition, it contains less phosphorus and sulfur, which weaken steel, than Hokuriku iron sand tamahagane, and its manganese content makes it rust-resistant and highly tough.

Kitahagane can be mass-produced, so we will sell it to blacksmiths who are confident in their skills.
